I’ve put the brakes on advocating Facebook for education. The recent changes alone make it utterly clear that Facebook is NOT your friend but rather a ruthless and a worryingly quick-growing semantic machine primarily serving big companies, and – by introducing more and more differenciated verbs accompanying the already-ancient-seeming „like“ – breaking down an individual’s life mainly into its economically relevant (respectively exploitable) aspects. As a father and a teacher, I am adamant to advertising this anthropology in the classroom. Amen.
